WORK EXPERIENCE:

1992—present: Accounting Supervisor, GHI Products, Columbus, North Carolina.

Responsibilities include direction of all cash activities; supervision of staff of 56 persons (expanded from 43 in 1992); and preparation of tax documents and annual financial statements for a small electronics company, whose annual income is in the range of $2-$3 million.

During my tenure at GHI, sales have expanded by 10-15% annually, while operations expenses have seen an annual average reduction of 5%, exclusive of expanded payroll.

Most of the savings have been the result of new cost controls I’ve instituted in accounting procedures.

1988-1992 A/R Supervisor, HHH Insurance Company, Hillsdale, North Carolina.

Responsible for hiring, training, and evaluating staff of 12.

Responsible for A/R cash flow in home-insurance company generating $2.3 million in annual revenues.

Reorganized A/R system, resulting in cash savings of $120,000 in 1991 and $130,000 in 1992.

Upgraded hardware and software for A/R functions.

Supervised 8 accounts, A/P and A/R; reconciled bank statements; prepared quarterly tax documents; and participated in preparation of annual financial statements.
